When the Mossberg Nightstick arrived, I had a question as to how I was going to store the thing. With its 26.37″ total length, I started looking for a case that could not only store the firearms, but also minishells and support equipment. A search ensued on the internet and, as usual, I found what I thought would work at Amazon.com, the Charlie Delta Tactical 30″ Padded Weapons Case w/Removable MOLLE Mag Pouches, Black by Charlie Delta Tactical, shown below.

Some features of the case are shown below:

Now that you have read the manufacture’s claims, let me lead you through the rest of the story about this product.
Interior
The interior is well-padded to protect your prized firearm. Webbing is carried out throughout the interior. The containment strap is fully adjustable to accommodate a range of firearm configurations.
Two containment straps are provided for securing the firearm inside the case. They are; however, extremely long, but I resisted the temptation to shorten them.
Exterior
The exterior consists of a main pouch and two MOLLE compatible 30-round magazine pouches, which can hold two magazines per pouch. MOLLE webbing on the exterior of the bag allows you to remove and replace these with pistol mag pouches, shotgun shell pouches or other MOLLE pouches (sold separately). The bag features a removable shoulder strap that are attached to D-rings with metal clips, and a grab handle.
The main compartment also features (2) lockable (metal) zipper tabs (padlock not included) with pull strings. The central 9” x 8.5” pouch is also secured by two (metal) zippers and is the perfect size for a few boxes of ammo, a pair of shooting gloves, or cleaning supplies.
The main compartment has a Velcro panel where a Charlie Delta patch is mounted. Of course, you can remove the patch and replace it with your own, as desired.
Stitching is superior throughout the product.
Upgrade
The two exterior MOLLE magazine pouches were exchanged with two Tactical 5.11 Unisex VTAC Shotgun Ammo Pouch Bags (shown below).

These pouches are 5” H x 4.75” L x 2.5” D in dimensions and have a capacity of 59 cubic inches (1 liter).
They are intended to hold a complete box of twenty-five 2 ¾” shotgun shells (with the box inserted). However, they also hold thirty-six 1 ¾” minishells/pouch very easily, providing me with 4 complete loadings (8+1) of minishells for the Nightstick. Of course, these pouches can hold other items as desired.
They are made of 1050D Nylon Material, have a zippered access compartment, and an overlapping elastic top keeps rounds secure.
A reliable 5.11 SlickStick /MOLLE system can be attached to webbing or belt for easy access to ammunition.
The overlapping elastic tops allow me to reach into the pouch and retrieve shells as needed. I keep buckshot shells in one pouch and slugs in the other pouch.
I ordered the pouches in black to match the case, but the pouches also come in Sandstone and TAC OD.
Summary
The Charlie Delta Tactical 30″ Padded Weapons Case w/Removable MOLLE Mag Pouches, Black by Charlie Delta Tactical is an excellent means to store/transport the Mossberg 590 Nightstick, or any firearm under 30” in length.
The flexibility of exchanging external pouches with others adds to the functionality of the case.
Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the case.
