New Scope for 22 LR
« on: November 03, 2018, 09:22:55 AM »
The old Pronghorn Scope I had on my Marlin went south on me so I went to Walmart and purchased a new Leupold 3X9x40 scope for it. Mounted it and sighted it in although it was quiet cool and windy yesterday. My last 5 would fit into a quarter off sandbags. I was pleased. Four of them were virtually one hollers.

I have had a big squirrel problem, but am working on thinning them quiet well. At least they are no longer eating on the fuel lines on my truck and kwnawing holes in my house or RV plastic holding tanks, so I guess I am winning for now.

I started shooting them with an iron sighted 22LR, after my mdl 60 went down, but in the dark timber, with my old eyes, it was hard to see the sights and squirrels.

Back in business with something a little easier for old eyes to shoot well.
