What most 21st Century Americans simply do not grasp is that the Constitution and Bill of Rights were not written to to give rights to the citizens of our then-new nation, but was instead written to tightly constrain the federal government.

Two of 'em weren't enough.

We're still waiting for both acknowledgement and apology for the Rape of Nanking and the kidnapping of Korean, Chinese, and Philippina women for use as Jap Army "comfort station" field whores.

After the war, the Germans acknowledged their crimes and their war criminals. The Japs never have.

"Nuke em till they glow"

Has a nice ring to it, eh?

EDITED : I've heard stories of unspeakable atrocities committed by the Japanese against folks they captured during WW2.
Most of those stories I'm loath to even repeat due to the horrible nature of them, and their nightmare producing capability.

War has a way of dipping deeply into the human psyche and finding those monsters we all feared as children.

Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight, and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be.  One hundred percent and then some.
