UPDATE 11/21/2018:

Replaced the stock Ruger grip panels with my usual Hogue rubber wrap-around finger groove grip. What a world of difference! Also added a dab of fluorescent green to the front sight to enhance the sight picture.

A picture of the new grip can be seen at the end of the article.

In my opinion Roy was an outstanding performer. He and of course the Hee-Haw Honeys were the best part of Hee-Haw.

There was also an American version of a song by Flacid Domingo titled, "No me dejes caer" (Don't Let Me Down").

Listening to Roy Clark doing a Charles Aznavour song would be as strange as hearing Elvis Presley doing a classical French song like Plaisir d'Amour.

Oh. Wait a minute. Elvis did sing Plaisir d'Amour. He just changed its title to I Can't Help Falling In Love With You. Well, he changed the words, too...and sang in English. But it was the same song. Honest.
(It makes Jean and me cry, every time.)

Thanks for reminding me!
I'd forgotten about that song.
I'll go find it and download it to my phone now!

I've never heard the song, but I am astounded by the combination of Charles Aznavour and Roy Clark.
A more unlikely-seeming amalgam could not be found, I think.

I wonder whether the original was written in French, since French was Aznavour's native tongue and romantic cabaret-style crooning was his métier.

Aznavour, too, has just recently passed on (in October of this year).

The song's feeling reminds me a little of Édith Piaf's signature piece, Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien.
