Update 2

I'm finding this new book by CR to be quite engaging!
I'm particularly fond of the chapter title "Like Pointing Your Finger".

I'd always suspected something like this chapter explains, bit this is the first time I've ever heard anyone else be OK with it!

Cool

Handguns & Holsters / Re: Infidel Arsenal

Thank you, Richard.
The holsters are well designed, if one can do a one-hand reholster.

Now, I wonder about longevity.
The old Snick holsters I used, and still have a couple of, would fracture along one particular bend after a while. Although I got creative, and found ways to use the broken-off pouches, it was still a drawback.

It will be a while before I can report about longevity. For now, I have only the example of other Kydex holsters I have, most of which are several years old and still running with the original straps and hooks just fine.

Handguns & Holsters / Re: Glock Question
« Last post by CR Williams on Yesterday at 05:45:28 AM »
I like my new gen 5 19 better than the older gen 3 or gen 4. The lack of finger grooves feels great. Plus I don't add any of the grip extenders so that the grip is in the smallest configuration.

The one thing that sucks on it is the trigger though. All the other brands have good or great striker fired triggers. I don't know why Glock doesn't.

Also, I never understood the analogy of the Glock trigger being so light that people accidentally shoot themselves...that's any striker fired pistol with no manual safety.
Sig P320, Walther PPQ, HK VP9, CZ P10c. They're all just as easy to shoot yourself with as a Glock.

People have shot themselves with double-action revolvers in the past. They just don't want to acknowledge that they're the ones that have to be careful what happens when it's going out or in to the holster.

Can you do one-hand reholstering with them?

They give the impression that one must use one's other hand, to pull the belt-and-waistband away from the body to make the return stroke easy.

I was okay doing one-hand reholstering on the occasions I did that during a class I took a week ago, Steve. Didn't do much, but did do some without trouble. I do make sure I look it back in when I do that, though.

Very cool. I like wider clips but the concept is kewl. :)

He can provide straps or other kinds of clips with holsters if you prefer something else. I'm thinking about trying J-hooks for the next ones I get.

Welcome Back and Good Luck to you and your Dad.
I just came through that same scenario with my wife.
Unfortunately it did not end well . . . . . She didn't make it to coming home.
I wish you well . . . . . .

I'm sorry to hear that, Chuck.
I know that it's very hard to live alone, with nothing but memories.

Thanks NorCalChuck.

I don't know if Dad will make it back home at this point or not. As one of our members says time will tell.
