Might I ask you a question Taurian?
Why is your entry timed at 3:35 PM and yet you wrote 6:21 AM?
Since I get confused easily and there must be some simple reason could you help start out my New Year on a more positive note????

Also you should of course have an awesome 2019!!!

It's 0621 hours, December 31, 2018 as I write this.

May everyone have a safe and happy New Year.

I have always liked ending and starting a year on a productive note.

re: https://lakelanier.com/2014/05/army-corps-weapons-ban-trumps-ga-gun-laws/

While I have not been in the Lake Lanier area for about twenty years, I used to travel through this CoE property on a regular basis when I was enjoying a Sunday morning ride or on my way to and from Cherokee North Carolina.  I would occasionally stop at the Buford Dam for a rest and take in the smell of the lake early in the morning. I, of course, was carrying concealed. I never really gave much thought to that fact until I was made aware of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 36, part 327 (see reference link), and realized that all of the times that I had passed through, and sometimes stopped within this CoE property that I was performing a criminal act. Sigh!

Everything Else / Re: Competition Firearms for Self-Defense

The best that you can hope for is a "No Bill" from the Grand Jury. Of course, there still may be civil actions toward you. There also could be civil actions against the FFL holder that sold you the firearm and also against the manufacturer of the firearm. Somebody has deep pockets!

A prosecutor will fight to have the firearm used included; a good defense attorney will fight to have the firearm excluded. If the firearm is excluded, then the burden of proof is on the state to prove that your actions were not justified. If the firearm is included, the waters are muddied.  Hopefully, the defense attorney is gun savvy and can counter the prosecutor's points of attack.

I think it would depend more on if the prosecutor wanted to make his bones with your case.
