There was David Bowie, and now Glenn Fry - among other artist that are deceased. Keith Richards died long ago and has not yet caught up with himself.

My ex-wife, essentially a tea-totaller, died recently of cirrhosis of the liver at age 74. She was definitely not dissipated in any way.
My father died at age 67 (about), also of cirrhosis of the liver, to achieve which he had first to drink heavily for more than 40 years. He also had emphysema from an equal amount of time smoking two packs a day.
