Guilty X 3

I didn't want to step on Robert's thread, sick! evil! twisted! So Iíll put this here. If I were the judge and it was allowed, the sentence would be swift.  Tall tree (or lamp post),short rope and a garbage can.

Hodgeman Co. jury convicts child sex offender again
By The News staff

JETMORE - A Hodgeman County man previously convicted of possessing child pornography now faces life in prison after a Hodgeman County jury convicted him Thursday on multiple counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Douglas Peterman, 44, faces a life sentence, without the possibility of parole for 25 years, on each of the three counts. Sentencing was not immediately scheduled.

According to a news release from Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt, the jury convicted Peterman on all three charges, which allege he fondled a child under age 14 multiple times between August 2010 and April 2012.

The Hodgeman County Sheriff's Office and Kansas Department for Children and Families investigated the case.

Peterman was sentenced to five years in prison in July 2002 for possession of child pornography. In that case, Peterman pleaded guilty to possessing computer images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Federal agents initiated that case in November 2000, according to the U.S. Attorney's office, when the German National Police notified the U.S. Customs Service that digital images sent from within the United States depicting child pornography had been received via the Internet in Germany.

The Customs Service, in cooperation with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and state and local law enforcement agencies, identified Peterman as the source of the images.

Hodgeman County prosecutors also charged Peterman in 2010 with failing to register as a sexual offender. He was placed on a diversion in that case.

I think this sentencing is WRONG!, after 25 years he can be eligible for parole? did I read that right or did I miss something? Like fjyover said, a long drop and a sudden stop, would be real justice, but then again, this would be to humane for this sick(I cant print the word I want to call him), On Roberts threat, I posted my opinion of a punishment he should receive, and that is a extremely slow and extremely painful death, And before someone say "this is a sickness, so he cant be blamed", I don't believe that theory, that some has a true mental disorder that causes them to molest children, I'm sorry for the rant, but, I just get under my skin when I hear about someone that harms a child

crzyjarmans,

From the article, "faces a life sentence, without the possibility of parole for 25 years, on each of the three counts."  As I understand it he, if sentenced to the max, would have to serve 75 years (3 counts at 25 years) before he could get parole. But then I'm not a lawyer so I'm not sure if it works this way.

The have a special place for sex offenders in prison; they are kept away from gen-pop. Unfortunate; however, that they are. Gen-pop usually takes care of folks like these and saves us some money in the long run.
The fact that the GOVERNMENT would even consider removing the natural right to bear arms is the very reason why the 2nd Amendment was written.

thanks for clarifying, but still to good for this piece of S#!t, I'll just have to hope that he will be put into general population and the other inmates will torcher him until he no longer moves, If you haven't guessed yet, I have no sympathy for these crimes

Who would ever thought that the common criminal would have a "cheering section" amongst a bunch of gung-ho guntoters. Don't take this as a criticism of your statement, as I heartily concur.
