Vacation Road Trip
« on: October 05, 2013, 05:05:26 AM »
We are going to Gatlinburg to spend the week, with some of our grandchildren, while they are out for fall break. Two of my swettie's sistwers will join us, on Friday and we will be traveling to the Bristol, Kngsport, Johnson City TN area and explore. We wanted to go to visit Cumberland Gap but it is closed. Will leave there and go to Renfro Valley and see Rohnda Vincent in consert. I love Blue Grass music. Be gone for 2 weeks, or so.

Have a fun trip!  Take care.  Be Safe.
Everyday I write the truth to who I am by what I do.
Life achieves its summit, when it does the uttermost what it was equipped to do.
It's always easier to shift the responsibility of one's existence, to lean on others rather than stand alone, but I refuse to place my destiny in another's hands.

Have fun pop pop!  I use to live on Tillson Mountain on US 23 just south of Erwin Tennessee. It was south of Johnson City in a little town called Flag Pond. I don't know if it is even still there or not. It was um... 1973! Yikes!

Cumberland Gap is...closed?!?!

What? They stopped the water from passing through? Daniel Boone is trapped in the West?
And what about the song? Are we still allowed to sing it?
