Peanut Clusters (For commonground)
« on: December 12, 2012, 07:20:11 PM »
1 - 12 oz. package chocolate chips
1 - 11 oz. package butterscotch chips
1 - 12 oz. jar salted peanuts

Instructions:

Melt chips in a double boiler.  Stir in peanuts.  Drop by spoonfuls on wax papered jelly roll pan.  Store in a covered container.

I don't know if the chips can be melted in a microwave, I have not tried to.  You can use any type of peanut, Spanish, Dry Roasted or even other types of nuts.  This year I used a 50/50 mix of Dry Roasted and Honey Roasted.  Pecans are good this way, if you like pecans that is.

I chill the pan of clusters in the fridge for about 30 minutes, makes them easier to handle.

I store them in the fridge because they can be messy to eat if they get to warm.

Enjoy!!
