New forum area: Newcomers to Concealed Carry
« on: November 17, 2012, 05:17:34 PM »
I am pleased to announce the creation of a new forum section "New Comers to Concealed Carry," a place for those new to the world of CCing to ask any newbie related questions anyone may hesitate to post elsewhere.

Or as our moderator of the section M1911A1 so eloquently put it:

Quote
"Newcomers to Concealed Carry" is dedicated to answering your questions, and even addressing your fears, as you enter the world of self-defense weaponry, shooting techniques, and concealed carry in general.

The most important thing I can think of to write, in this "Welcome!" thread, is that there are no stupid questions. If you need an answer, ask the question and someone here will help you.
"Lead by example or get out of the way."

25 years of firearms experience, 2 years Army National Guard service, CCing for 1 & 1/2 years and counting.

This is great! I know Steve will do a great job with this new forum area.

I have two friends and co-workers who are new to concealed carry. There are always questions and those who have been carrying for a while are a great source for information.

Great idea.  How about "Newcomers to Carrying"?  Gun Toters does not define how you tote concealed or open.  Just a thought.   ???

Thank you, Charles, for your confidence in me.
Please send your friends on over. With input from all of us, we should be able to answer their questions.

Um, carrying what?  ;D
Starting to carry a weapon is confusing enough. And now you want to give these poor beginners choices:o

Ha Ha I like that.   ;D  Yeh, Which caliber, which gun, which holster, which position, which ammo, inside waist or out, and the list goes on.  Good point.  ;)

Having read some of Steve's stuff aimed at beginners here and elsewhere I think this is a great idea and look forward to contributing.
