Texas Woman Arrested for Warning Drivers About Speed Trap

""He couldn't take me to jail for holding up this sign or he would have. So all he could do was make up something fake about it," Plummer told KRTK. The officer searched Plummer's backpack, she said, and threatened to arrest her for obstructing justice, a felony charge." (link)

The ironic part was by warning people about the speed trap, she was slowing cars down preventing the need for one in the first place.

Makes you wonder how much slower cars would drive if people spray painted a few speed trap warnings on the sides of bridge abutments and billboards?

Cops make up their own laws as they see fit in Texas. At least some do!

Don't limit that to just Texas (sigh). I'd say MOST LE do that MOST of the time.
Not ALL, so don't get mad at me, but "most". I'll stand by that statement, ya'll.

I've read (news wise) of people alerting drivers of speed traps before, in the past and they too were either ticketed or arrested...cops don't like their ticket parties ending too soon...

Wanna try out your Freedom of Speech RIGHTS?
Stand on the sidewalk of a Wal-Mart and PREACH THE GOSPEL.
Youĺl find out very quickly WHO decides what Freedom of Speech means.
The LE will concede, after a lengthy discussion, but WATCH OUT.  The sidewalk does not belong to WALMART.  They think it does, but it does not.
GOT BALLS?????

PROVE IT.
