El Paso shooting
« on: August 03, 2019, 05:29:37 PM »
Pick your news source, they all have the terrible story. The obvious question to me is where were all the legally armed Texans? Why did this guy get to shoot so many people? Schools in Texas have been "no gun zones" for a long time so the Sante Fe shooting was less surprising but Walmart? I'm always carrying in Walmart. And churches in Texas are not the soft targets they once were, by the way. I will not disclose the security posture at my church but I will say steps have been taken.

That is exactly what I said to my wife this evening when we saw the news.
Texas? Really?
The kid got out of his car, picked up his rifle, and walked X distance to the mall entrance with it, and no one stopped him?
Something is wrong with that picture.
Boston, maybe.
Texas, WTF?
Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight, and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be.  One hundred percent and then some.
