Nothing new.

This happened in the music business, starting in the 1960s.
First, broadcasters began using pre-recorded, taped shows instead of live on-the-air disc jockeys.
Then, in a little while, all of the stations in a particular market found themselves using the same pre-recorded shows provided by the same programming business.
Finally, all of the pop-music (and rock) stations sounded alike.

Now it's happening to the "news," too.
Because "news" is really just another form of entertainment, just like pop music.
And because the same economies-of-scale apply to both mediums.

This is the part that worries me the most.
Entertainment, music, etc is something that can handle, so to speak, same pre-recorded shows.

But essential information, real news, needs to be "REAL" Information.
Not a dramatic presentation placed between advertising.
