Respondeat superior (Latin: "let the master answer"; plural: respondeant superiores) is a doctrine that a party is responsible for (has vicarious liability for) acts of their agents. For example, in the United States, there are circumstances when an employer is liable for acts of employees performed within the course of their employment. This rule is also called the master-servant rule, recognized in both common law and civil law jurisdictions.

In a broader scope, respondeat superior is based upon the concept of vicarious liability.

What most 21st Century Americans simply do not grasp is that the Constitution and Bill of Rights were not written to to give rights to the citizens of our then-new nation, but was instead written to tightly constrain the federal government.

Very interesting indeed . . . . .
I can tell you from very personal experience that our local law enforcement will not come out and shoot with us in our IDPA matches. We offer them to shoot for free and participate.
Our Club President is retired local law enforcement and knows them personally yet they are embarrassed because they really cannot shoot.
The local commander used to shoot with us all the time and yet he is unable to get any of them to participate. Even with the offer to pay them for their time.
Anyone have any suggestions on what may encourage them to participate?
We are open to any suggestions, ideas, thoughts or what evers that might work?????

Well, it is hard to maintain your composure when people are snickering and talking in whispers behind your back ;)
