The fact that the GOVERNMENT would even consider removing the natural right to bear arms is the very reason why the 2nd Amendment was written.

About 5 paragraphs down, the Beretta M9 is stated to be a "cold war era" pistol for the Army.

I guess I missed something, like about 2-3 decades of history.  Either that, or the "Cold War" lasted a lot longer than I thought it did.

Maybe they're merging the old cold war with the new cold war (or what some are saying is the new cold war).

I am informed that Mr. Glock personally thinks Americans are stupid. And, of course, there must be much scratching of heads about the idea that we would turn away from the perfection that is the Glock design.

Hopefully it won't slow anything up too much.

...I am informed that Mr. Glock personally thinks Americans are stupid...

Many Austrians think that Americans are stupid.
If you consider that the vast majority of Austrians voted to join Austria to Hitler's Nazi Germany, that should tell us all we need to know about Austrians.

In the late 1960s, I spent a while in Austria. In the cities, you couldn't tell a fashionably-dressed woman from a fashionably-dressed man: They both wore fedoras, suit jackets, and even ties. That has probably changed, but at the time it was weird.
And they had the world's politest police! Whenever I asked a cop for directions or information, he would salute, click his heels, and bow, all simultaneously. And when they heard me speak German, they almost fell all over themselves in joy and friendship (gemütlichkeit). I could just imagine the progression of an arrest: "Excuse me, Herr Kriminal, but would you mind very much If I were to ask you to allow me to handcuff you? Thank you so very much!"
