Serious question
« on: December 20, 2016, 10:11:09 AM »
Hi,
I keep seeing and hearing the praises of "Spyderco" knives.  Seems like the really hip personal tactitions seem to own them or want them, etc...And whenever a discussion about knives comes up, ya always hear about the wonders of Spyderco.

What do you guys think?
If Spyderco is a truly superior knife, WHY is that so?
What makes it better?

Steel?
Construction methods and techniques?

I'm all about TRUTH, so someone please enlighten me about this marvel of blade technology!

I may have to get one of my own, if it turns out to be a truism.

Spyderco knives set the trend for knives beginning with the hole for quick opening and serrated edges. The company is based in Colorado, but most if not all of their knives, are manufactured elsewhere.

Here is a link to the company and their products: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spyderco

Personally, I like their line of "Hawkbill" folders.  Whether they are a superior knife product to others, is best left up to the user.  As the knives are manufactured elsewhere, they are as good as any other production knife on the market (IMHO).
The fact that the GOVERNMENT would even consider removing the natural right to bear arms is the very reason why the 2nd Amendment was written.

As a personal, ęsthetic matter, I do not like Spiderco's knife designs.

As for me, I think they all look alike, kinda like the AR rifle platform.
