What most 21st Century Americans simply do not grasp is that the Constitution and Bill of Rights were not written to to give rights to the citizens of our then-new nation, but was instead written to tightly constrain the federal government.

Good deal.

Some day, maybe, people at large will know that ANY laws that restrict (infringe) firearm ownership in any way are unconstitutional and therefore illegal.
Moreover, the only motivation an individual really has to obey any of these illegal laws is fear of LEO'S enforcing those illegal laws...maybe even being killed by such enforcement.

The whole thing is so out of control now, that what one must decide for him or herself is just where does one draw their own personal, "line in the sand"?

When the government itself is wrong, especially about self defense and the tools associated with it...well...

That song comes to mind...

"There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right, when everybody's wrong..."

Ok, I'm getting off of this soapbox now.  This is one of those topics that has no acceptable solution, at least not in my mind.

On one side, the street thugs will getcha.
On the other side, Federal, State, County and City paid thugs will getcha.

Happy is the man who can walk that thin line through the valley of the shadow of death...and go the extra mile, on the road less travelled.

A-A-A-H-H-H-h-h-h-h-h . . . . Ranger you do have a way with words.
"We will have a good government as long as those that govern are effected by those laws that they pass. When those that are passing the laws are no longer effected by those laws then they will no longer pass good laws."

I have my moments, although getting fewer and farther between.
