Good deal on FNP?
« on: December 23, 2011, 07:21:55 PM »
A gun store in my area has a special on FNP pistols, 9's & 40's.  They have a 42% reduction on these models reg. $649/on sale for $349!  They come with 3 10-rd mags. What I need to know is, will these models be able to take the double stack 13 or 17 rd mags that could be bought seperately?  Would it still be a good deal?  Excuse my ignorance in these matters,  need some advice!  Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all!

Even if they only use the 10 round mags that looks like a great deal. I cant answer your question though as I dont know about this weapon.

The 10-round magazines are required by certain states and cities.
The gun, however, will accept any standard magazine, including those with greater capacities.
(The standard pistol is not modified. Only the magazine is different.)

But, just to make sure, ask the gunshop clerk...and get a written guarantee covering this point that allows a return if you are not satisfied.

that is a great deal on that weapon! I paid almost $500 for a used one two years ago. I loved that pistol. shoots great, smooth double action on the first round is so desired and the single action was smooth and crisp and it has the ability to re-strike on a dud round. The gun will accept the 17 round 9 mm magazines (mine was 9 mm). You will not go wrong at that price.  ;D

I wish Larry's had that price. I would have to get one. They are high quality pistols and are a great deal at that price. Made in the USA

Thanks for the comments!  Well, I bought the gun yesterday.  Price with tax was right at $400, with tax,  NIB.  Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but have familiarized myself with it otherwise.  Seems like a solid U.S.A. made gun. Simple, DA/SA, decocker only, no other external safeties. I got the 9mm. They have the same offer on .40 cal. Was looking for a G-19 but this seemed like a good deal.  Only thing is it came with 3 mags, but all 10 rnd mags. I will be ordering some 16 rnd mags soon, I hope! You can check it out, here is where I got it:
